Please notice our process could be slightly different between projects but the basics remain the same, to help you succeed in your business.
Phase One: Planning
Our first step is to gather as much information as posible to get a clear understanding of your business and your project requirements. We schedule a first meeting with you at a convenient location or over a video call, we undesratnd the risk of the pandemic and for that we follow COVID-19 safety and security guidelines.
In this meeting we ask a lot of questions to identfy your goals and how we can help you to achieve those goals. On this first phase we focus on the following items:
Purpose
We would like to know the purpose of this project,
weather is to provide information, promote a service, or sell a product.
Goals
What do you want to accomplish with this project?
Two of the more common goals are either to make money or just share information.
Target Audience
Are you targeting a specific group of people
that will help you reach your goals? Things to consider are their age, sex or interests.
Content
What kind of information you want to show to your
target audience? Do you want to show specific information about a service or a particular product, or are you
looking to sell online?
Phase Two: Design
This stage involves moving the planning stage further into reality. Drawing from the information gathered up to this point is when your project begins to take shape. Now that we have a clear idea of what the project should contain, we start the Layout and how your Applictaion will flow. We work closely with you exchanging ideas to ensure that the final product will match your needs.
During this phase we decide what technologies should be implemented. If a Database is needed we will assess the requirements and design the database with all the data structures. Elements such as your company logo, Fonts, and Colors are incorporated into the design to help strengthen the identity of your company. We also determine whether a new bank of images needs to be created or/and work with one already provided by you.
Once this part of the project is completed, we show you one or more prototype designs for your project. Must of the time this consits on an image of what the final design will look like. Time to time you will receive emails with the mock-ups for your project and access to a secure area where you can see our work in progress.
Phase Three: Development
This stage is where the web site itself is created. At this time we take all of the individual graphic elements from the prototype and use them to create the actual, functional applictaion.
We start off with the Home page that will be presented to the target audience along with some interior pages containing the main navigational structure for the web site. Once all the pages have been created we distribute them in the appropriate areas.
Elements such as our Custom CPanel, interactive contact forms, or ecommerce shopping carts are implemented and made functional during this phase. Our CPanel gives you the ability of adding new features or make updates down the road in your website, without paying extra money for plug-ins maintenance and upgrades after your application is launched. And very important, you will not require technical knowledge in order to edit and update your website content.
At K&D Web Solutions we use an Agile methodology approach during our development process, where we schedule by-weekly Sprint meetings. Your opinion and feedbacks are our high priority, and we take very seriously Customer collaboration in an effort to reach our common goals.
Phase Four: Launch
Your website is ready to be deployed to production but before that we test the complete functionality of forms or other scripts, we check for compatibility issues like differences between web browsers and adaptaion to any device and any size. We create websites that render perfectly on all desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
After receiving your final approval, it is time to go live and let the world know about youe web presence. But wait, is not over for us, we offer you maintenance at at no extra cost. Anytime you find something is not working the way you were expected, just pick up a phone and give us a call. We will more than happy to assist you and keep participaiting in your success.
